How to get signed up to judge meets
- Join the judging associations listed on the Officials page
- Call around to area schools and let them know you are available
- When asked to judge, SAY YES!
- Return your contract promptly
- Make sure to show up at least one hour before the meet starts
- Make sure you are dressed professionally &in the required colors
- Make sure you are properly wearing your MHSAA emblem
- If you get sick or have an emergency and can't honor your contract, find another certified MHSAA competitive cheer official that can take your place and let the athletic director know about it ahead of time.
- Always judge fairly and consistently.
- Remember that you are a professional, act as such
- Do these things and you will be asked back
