Senior Spotlight Week Two
April is an amazing athlete and person.  A three-year varsity letter winner, she has established her role as a vital member of the team.  The best thing about April is that she leads by example.  She continually pushes herself and her team to reach new heights.

April was a key member on the team that allowed Hudsonville throw back tucks for the first time last year.  During her sophomore and junior years, she was awarded all-conference and all-region honors.  April is a natural leader with breath-taking skills.  She's always positive and conducts herself in such a way that earns the respect of her coaches and teammates.  April’s classmates also admire and respect her.  This year she was voted homecoming queen by the student body.

After high school graduation, April will be attending Grand Valley State University where she hopes to continue cheering.  She is also planning on trying out for Champion Staff.

All at Hudsonville will miss April’s amazing attitude and bubbly personality, but we wish her the best of luck in the future!
Division #1: April - Hudsonville HS
Division #2: Kamara – Kenowa Hills HS
Division #3:  HS
Division #4: HS
Kamara has been a cheerleader since the second grade and is a 4 year member of the Kenowa Hills Competitive Cheer Team.  She is an outstanding cheerleader who always gives 100% for her team.  Her hard work and positive attitude have made her an excellent role model for many younger girls too.

Kamara’s perseverance and dedication to her team is unmistakable, from working tirelessly to stick her back tuck and her amazing spirit following an injury to being an enthusiastic leader as the only senior this year on her cheer team.  Her amazing energy keeps her involved in many other areas as well.  She works part time, takes gymnastics classes, is involved in her church, and has competed on the track team.

Kamara is excited to help her team accomplish their goals and reach new heights this year.  She also hopes to continue cheering in college, where she plans to study psychology or journalism because she loves to help others and make connections with people from all walks of life.  She is one dynamic senior athlete who deserves to shine in the spotlight.  We are so proud of Kamara and all of her accomplishments!
