What is a mentor?
A judging mentor is an experienced judge that will "show you the ropes." A mentor will allow you to judge next to him/her during a few competitions to make sure you are comfortable and confident before you go out and judge on your own. Your mentor will also be there for you if you need someone to call or email with questions about situations that come up while judging. Your mentor will also help you by giving you tips/tricks/cheat sheets that you can use during judging to make sure you are consistent and fair throughout the competition.
