We have found that having food for the team at competitions can make all the difference in their performance.
The sisters recommend taking the time to organize food for the team at each meet.
Elicit the help of the parents. You may even have a parent that would be willing to organize the food for you.
We have found that rotating responsibilty among team members for different types of food and drinks works well.
Having a couple choices of entrees (different types of subs/different types of sandwiches, etc.) and several veggies/fruits/snacks works well.
Hot entrees are nice, but you should probably bring a power strip and extension cord because you don't know how many outlets will be available to your team.
Its a good idea to bring bottles of water as well as juice boxes/sports drinks.
Don't forget paper products.
The timing of the "feast" is important. Don't wait until they are famished, but don't expect them to be able to jump and tumble with full bellies either.
By eliminating the distraction of hunger your team will be more able to focus on the competition and be more likely to perform their best.
